Hey there,
AS A TRAUMA PRACTITIONER, IT IS MY GREATEST PRIVILEGE TO BE INVITED INTO SOMEONE ELSE’S LIFE AND TO HEAR THEIR STORY.
In the counseling space, my clients gain the confidence to listen to their own voice, look deep within themselves, and stand within their truth. My goal is to offer a safe and connected space where children, adolescents and adults can heal from trauma, adversity and chronic stress – I specialize in supporting individuals in overcoming a traumatic past (abuse, neglect, adverse childhood experiences), finding healing in the aftermath of a traumatic event/loss, processing work-related secondary trauma, navigating through change, and coping with PTSD, PMADs, anxiety and depression.
I have adapted a unique and integrative approach to trauma-focused therapy. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, I believe your ideal therapy is as unique as you are. I am well-versed in various evidence-based therapy models, including: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS), Structured Sensory Interventions and Life-skill coaching. But beyond any scientific approach, I utilize a person’s own innate ability to heal as they gain insight, understanding and perspective to foster emotional healing.
Education: I received both my Master’s degree in Counseling and my Bachelor’s degree in applied Anthropology from Oakland University.
