Careers at Rooted Counseling
-
We’re a group practice of counselors on a shared mission to demystify the process of therapy, remove shame and stigma, and hold space for conversations around healing and wellness.
We provide wholehearted counseling for the wonderful and weird people of Greater Lansing - specializing in eating disorders and body image, anxiety and OCD, perinatal and reproductive mental health, life transitions and relationship challenges, ADHD and Autism, LGBTQIA+, anxiety and depression, grief and loss, chronic illness, and trauma.
Our aim is to offer a solid and steady presence for growth and healing and to provide a safe and comfortable counseling experience. When we meet with clients, we do so with empathy, respect, humor, and compassion. Therapy should be a place to dig deep and work hard, but we believe the best kind of therapy is when you can also have a little bit of fun.
Does this sound like you? Rooted is looking to thoughtfully expand our team of clinicians (W2 employees).
What we’ll bring:
→ Medical/dental/vision with up to 70% employer contribution for full-time employees
→ 401K with 4% employer matching after 3 months of employment
→ Up to 72 hours of accrued paid sick leave per year
→ Covered individual and group supervision for limited license clinicians & paid supervisory opportunities for fully-licensed clinicians who are passionate about providing supervision
→ Regular in-office case consultation groups and specialty training groups paid at our admin rate of $30/hour for up to 2 groups/month (but no mandatory meetings - pick and choose which consultation opportunities are most interesting to you)
→ Competitive percentage split (we believe in full transparency - percentage split is 50/50 for 6 months, then shifts to 55/45 for limited license and 60/40 for fully licensed clinicians - higher split always to the clinician!)
→ Annual CEU stipends - up to $350/year as well as fully paid training opportunities including EMDR, Brainspotting, Sex Therapy, and more!
→ Employee funded short-term disability
→ Collaborative, supportive office environment - work with a team but practice your own way
→ Fully-furnished, beautiful and homey office space with three location options (plus work-from-home/telehealth options). East Lansing - modern renovation close to campus w/ ample free parking. Old Town - downtown Old Town in an incredible, historic building (huge windows, exposed brick, original hardwood floors, the works) and walking distance to all the best Old Town restaurants (official staff petition to have all consultation meetings catered by Meat). Eastwood - Centrally located right off of Lake Lansing (behind Starbucks) with window-lined offices (seriously, all the walls are windows)
→ Web profile and presence (and we think our website is pretty fantastic)
→ Steady stream of client referrals and a solid reputation in the community
→ Full administrative services (billing, credentialing, fax, email, etc.)
→ Customizable / flexible feel (work how you want when you want with your ideal client)
What you’ll bring:
→ Licensed Clinician - LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, LLMFT, LMFT, TLLP, LLP, PsyD, PhD in the state of Michigan - preference given to fully-licensed clinicians
→ Kind, hard-working, passionate about serving the clients you work with - we love our office dynamic and want to build a team that continues to foster a warm, collaborative and supportive environment. Being a counselor can be heavy sometimes - we believe the clinicians you work alongside should help lighten the load not add to it
→ Solid foundation in evidenced-based modalities and a desire for continued training (EMDR, CPT, EFT, ACT, ERP, etc.)
→ A rockstar specialty - who do you do amazing work with? Or what population are you excited and eager to learn more about working with? Right now we are in tremendous need of more clinicians to work in the following areas: EATING DISORDERS, OCD, PLAY THERAPY, COUPLES THERAPY, AND EMDR. Bonus points if you have experience in working with these populations/modalities but we're open to clinicians who are interested in training to become specialized!
