Hey there,
I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE I BELIEVE THAT EACH PERSON DESERVES TO BE HEARD AND VALUED AT EVERY STEP OF THE THEIR JOURNEY.
My goal as a therapist is to meet client's where they are through personal connection and empathy. I strive to provide an open, non-judgmental, supportive, and safe place for others to be vulnerable and explore their journey. I believe everyone is worthy and capable of having a fulfilling life worth living for. I walk the journey with my clients, assist them in seeing their own strengths and victories, big and small, and find the light that others see within them.
I work with adults struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, disordered eating, grief and loss, LGBTQIA+, harm reduction, life transitions, intimate partner violence, chronic pain, and self image.
I have experience in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strength's Based Perspective, Systems Approach, Person Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our pets, our German Shepherd named Dio, and our cats, Hazel and Buttons. You can find me on the weekend with my nose in a book, binge watching documentaries, or creating, what my partner calls "masterpieces," in the kitchen. I love everything nature related, from reading a book while hammocking in the woods, to painting the sights in front of me. You can find me hiking to see sights, much like therapy, only obtainable by pushing through the difficulties and obstacles to reach the goal (hopefully a huge waterfall).
Education: I received my Bachelor's (BSW) and Master's (MSW) degrees in Social Work from Ferris State University.
