Hey there,

I BECAME A THERAPIST TO LISTEN AND HOLD SPACE FOR YOUR DIFFICULT LIFE EXPERIENCES, STRESS, WORRY, GRIEF AND JOY AND TO HELP YOU MOVE THROUGH EMOTIONS TOWARD A HEALING PLACE.

I understand that seeking out therapy may be scary or intimidating and I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment. I firmly believe that you are the expert of your lived experiences and I seek to come alongside you while we work together to accomplish your goals. As a therapist, I am a LGBTQIA+ affirming clinician and I believe in a person-centered and a strengths based approach. Because every individual is unique, I will use an eclectic variety of therapy techniques that will best fit you and support you on your journey.

In my previous experience in medical social work, I have worked with a variety of adolescents and adults, in a wide range of medical and mental health environments. I work with young adults, college students, and adults that are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, OCD, ADHD/ADD life transitions, trauma, self-esteem/self-confidence issues, stress, chronic illness and cancer, relationship concerns, and family issues.

I utilize a number of different treatment modalities that I will tailor to you, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Approach.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy reading (anything by Emily Henry or Christina Lauren) and knitting (hopefully a sweater this year!). You will also find me chasing after my baby and doing photography with my husband. I enjoy running and finding new antique stores. Education: I received my Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of South Carolina and my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Michigan State University (Go Green!).
