Hey There,

I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE NOBODY LIVES INA BUBBLE; WHEN WE HEAL INDIVIDUALLY, WE GAIN THE CAPACITY, RESILIENCE, AND CLARITY NEEDED TO DISMANTLE THE SYSTEMIC BARRIES THAT HOLD US ALL BACK.

We all enter the room with unique identities and stories, and we often feel misunderstood or unseen because of the pace of life and the lack of relief. The expectation to keep moving through major life transitions is cruel and often something no one can accomplish alone. Without the right tools or resources, you may find it challenging to untangle complex feelings and thoughts. Grief and trauma are complex and ever-evolving, and I hope to create a space where people feel comfortable showing up as their full selves by leaning into their humanity and staying curious about possibilities. With a focus on childhood and human development, social determinants of health, and hands-on experience in community and program work, I hope to bring realistic, accessible resources and tools to clients.

I am a person-centered clinician focused on relational work, including the relationship with the self. My background in restorative practices informs how I show up in the therapy room; therapy is a partnership. I will meet you where you are, and we will work together to develop a holistic understanding of your perspective, grounded in your lived experience, circumstances, and social environment. I offer a supportive space to explore personal experiences, identify underlying pain points, and develop effective strategies that draw on your strengths. My style is eclectic and strengths-based. I work with a wide range of clients, including young children, adults, families, and couples. I have experience supporting people through chronic illness, OCD, and intergenerational or complex trauma. I have a special passion for supporting BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folks, especially youth, in strengthening self-esteem and self-identity.

By integrating Internal Family Systems, CPT, existential therapy, DBT, and other expressive modalities, such as art and play therapy, my therapeutic goal is to help clients better understand their thoughts, actions, and behavioral patterns so they can cultivate greater fulfillment in their lives. My work is trauma-informed and culturally responsive. I do not believe neurodivergence and queerness have to conform to society, but rather that we all deserve to be our fullest selves. I believe in bringing your lived experience to the table to collaborate on realistic, relevant goals. I promote emotional and psychological well-being by creating a supportive environment that fosters growth and healing. Every path to healing and transformation is unique, and I strive to find the right fit for each individual, even if it is not me.

When I am not at work, I am very much a homebody! I love spending my spare time painting, drawing, reading, or watching horror movies. However, when Michigan summer and fall roll around, I am out kayaking or at the various food and arts festivals our city hosts. I live with my partner of ten years and our two rabbits; making memories with them and my chosen family is a blessing I don't take for granted.

Education: I have my Bachelor's in Psychology and my Master's in Clinical Social Work, both from Michigan State University.
