Hey there,
I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE IT IS A PRIVILEGE TO WALK ALONGSIDE THOSE ON A PATH TOWARDS CLARITY AND HEALING.
I approach therapy from a place of compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. Guided by clients’ goals for engaging in therapy, I aim to build relationships where folks can challenge themselves to grow and heal in a safe environment, practice new skills, and strengthen internal and external connections.
I am level 2 trained and certified in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and have experience working with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT.) I work with adults, teens, couples and families around trauma, religious trauma, anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA+, chronic illness, grief and loss, and life transitions.
When not working, you’ll often find me curled up with my cat, my knitting and an audiobook. I also enjoy spending time with my partner, playing board games with friends, video games, and travelling. I consider myself a dabbler and currently enjoy dabbling in water color, yarn spinning, embroidery, and weaving. I’m hoping to take up roller skating as my next adventure.
Education: I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Houghton College and a Master of Counseling dual degree in Marriage and Family and Mental Health from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
