Hey there,

I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE I BELIEVE THAT BUILDING RESILIENCE ALLOWS US TO REWRITE OUR STORIES.

In my experience, we all hold narratives or stories about who we believe we are. Some of these stories allow for healing while others do not. It is my goal to help the people I work with rewrite their stories so they can find peace and healing. I believe that safety and trust are the foundation of healing, so I aim to cultivate a nonjudgmental space where my clients feel welcomed to be themselves. My passion is working with older adolescents and adults, specializing in trauma, eating disorders, body image,, college students, and anxiety.

I work with clients from a strengths-based perspective. I have extensive training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). I have a strong background in working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assaults, and child abuse. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness. My goal is to collaborate with my clients to develop new skills and habits that make them feel more prepared to face life’s challenges.

When I am not at work, you can find me laughing with friends, attempting to lift heavy weights, or re-watching New Girl for the 6th time. I love exploring new places- especially bookstores, hiking trails, and coffee shops!

Education: I received my Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from Michigan State University and my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) with a second major in Sociology from Saginaw Valley State University.
