Hey there,
I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE NOBODY SHOULD FEEL THEY ARE GOING THROUGH SOMETHING ALONE.
I am a social worker and therapist who strives to create a collaborative and non-judgemental space so that each client can feel safe and supported within the therapeutic relationship. I firmly believe that the client is the expert in their own life experiences, and this remains so within the therapeutic setting.
I use an eclectic style in therapy, borrowing from different therapeutic techniques that best fit client goals and needs. I aim to support clients in recognizing their strengths, and feeling affirmed in their unique identities and experiences by taking a person-centered and empowerment focused approach.
Some of my areas of interest include anxiety, depression, identity development and navigating intersecting identities, college students, and life transitions. I also have a passion for working with those within the LGBTQ+ community.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my cat, being outdoors, listening to music, and playing video games.
Education: I received my Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Michigan State University. I also received my Master's in Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University.
