Hey there,

I BECAME A THERAPIST AND SOCIAL WORKER BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF CONNECTION, SUPPORT, AND COMPASSION AS AN AVENUE TOWARDS SELF-EMPOWERMENT AND CHANGE.

It is my hope that those who choose to work with me feel supported and understood. It’s humbling to see people in varied phases of life be so vulnerable and open to engaging in this process with me, seeing them make change, apply the skills and insight they’ve gained in therapy to their lives, and be empowered in being their most authentic selves. Therapy can be challenging, but I aim to make it a little fun along the way.

I come to therapy with a person-centered and empowerment focused approach to meet a person where they’re at in their journey. The understanding that our experiences and our identities shape who we are, how we respond to the world, and how the world responds to us informs this approach.

I have ample experience working with those who have Anxiety and Mood Disorders, ADHD, Autism, OCD, and trauma; those experiencing relational concerns, life transitions, stressors, grief and loss; and those looking to explore and be affirmed in their gender and sexual identities.

I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, Strengths Based, and Emotion Focused Therapy. These frameworks are implemented collaboratively and are uniquely tailored to each person and situation. Theoretical lenses including intersectional feminism, queer liberation, critical race theory, and attachment theory guide me in the application of these interventions.

Outside of work I can be found snapping photos, going to new restaurants and places, eating a sweet treat made by my husband, doing something crafty if the mood strikes, hanging out with the people I love, or chilling on the couch watching movies or shows or playing video games (but never on hard mode).

Education: I received my Master of Social Work degree (MSW) from the University of Michigan and my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies with a minor in Criminal Justice from Grand Valley State University.
