Hey there,
I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE I BELIEVE THAT PEOPLE ARE DESERVING OF A SAFE ATMOSPHERE WHERE THEY CAN EXPERIENCE ACCEPTANCE, CLARITY, GROWTH, AND HEALING.
I am passionate about helping individuals as they journey through life. I especially enjoy supporting clients as they navigate and adjust to life's many transitions. I specialize in working with adults and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, codependency, identity/racial identity, relationships, caregiver fatigue and women-related issues. I am seasoned in connecting with faith communities, interracial and intercultural families. I consider it an honor to provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental atmosphere that can nurture the process of awareness and growth. My goal is to build a partnership and listen deeply to understand your experiences. Let's identify your strengths, personal barriers, and explore coping strategies and a plan for navigating through this season of life.
Counseling is not one dimensional, I take a flexible approach as it relates to healing and discovering what people desire in life. I am trauma informed, EMDR trained, skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and use culturally- sensitive, strength-based, and integrative approaches in therapy.
In my personal time, you might find me listening to audiobooks on long car rides, capturing moments through photography, fishing, or strategically planning for unproductive days. In my favorite moments, you'll find me at home in my PJs spending quality time with my family.
Education: I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling from Spring Arbor University and my Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Community Service from Michigan State University.
