Hi! I’m Ashley, a Zillennial Social Worker- think Backstreet Boys and AOL Instant Messaging meets One Direction and Instagram. My approach to working with clients centers around building a trusting, safe and authentic relationship. My style is warm, honest, and lighthearted.
I work with adults navigating issues around OCD, eating disorders, sleep issues and aging. I have additional training working with the Deaf community, veterans, caregivers, neurodegenerative diseases, sleep-wake disorders, and psychosis. I’ve worked in a variety of settings including case management, inpatient behavioral health, nursing homes and higher education. I draw on a variety of treatment approaches including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT, RO-DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) & Mind-Body-Spirit approaches. I can offer Walk-And-Talk Therapy and off-site exposure work.
When I’m not at work, you can find me spending time in nature, gardening, traveling Up North, playing one of my many sports or at the barn.
Education: I am passionate about learning and consider myself a lifelong learner. I hold an Associate of Applied Arts Degree in Sign Language Interpreting. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree with a focus in biology and my Master of Social Work Degree with a Combat Veterans Certificate.
