Hey There,
I BECAME A THERAPIST BECAUSE I BELIEVE THAT LIFE IS BEST LIVED WHEN WE SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER.
My goal as a therapist is to create a safe, collaborative space to allow you to explore and build confidence in your identity. I believe in meeting clients where they are and utilizing a strengths-based approach to create and achieve goals. I want to develop a collaborative space where you are able to be your full, authentic self and feel supported in doing so.
I am an LGBTQIA+ therapist and work with adults and teens who are experiencing life transitions, work/academic stress, anxiety, depression, self-harm, sexual identity exploration, gender exploration/transition, and other issues. I also specialize in working with first responders, veterans, military service members, and military family members.
In our work we will utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and mindfulness.
Outside of work you can usually find me cooking or baking, I love testing new flavors and recipes! When I’m not doing that, I can often be found reading, writing, or listening to music. I also enjoy camping and going on trips with my partner.
Education: I received my Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from Michigan State University.
